[Sandro Mesquita, CEO of Geneva International Motor Show]
Sandro Mesquita (interview): “We came with this idea of building here really from scratch a new show that is more than a show. So that’s why we came with this concept of festival. So the beating heart is here in the halls, but we are present also in the desert, on the track, in the city. And that was the conclusion of of our partnership and we are obviously very excited to be here to kick off this first edition that is historical for us because it’s the first time that we are organizing a show out of Geneva. ”

Sandro Mesquita (interview): “We want to be a bridge between the West and the East. It’s true that we know that there is a shift in the automotive industry with a lot of Chinese brands that are coming into different markets. Here, I think it’s not so predominant, but we see already some new Chinese brands that are coming and willing to enter the Middle East market.”
[Porsche and the unveiling of Mission X concept car]
Manfred Bräunl (interview): “You know, I’m German, so I have been to the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland many, many times, and I always liked it a lot. So it’s great to see that the Geneva Motor Show is coming here to Doha. And when we learned about it, of course, we said we have to be present and we want to bring really some highlights to the show. Coming to our highlights, of course, there is something which has never been shown here in the Middle East, is our Mission X concept car. It’s our hypercar, fully electric. It’s not been decided whether we’re going to build it or not, but I think we want to showcase here something where the future is going.”
[Porsche car]
Manfred Bräunl (interview): “So we are celebrating this year 60 years of 911. Whenever we sell a full decade, we bring something special. This car is based on the 911 GT3 RS. So 525 horsepower, very, very exciting, lightweight touring package. It’s another highlight which I think our fans were just waiting for.”
[Lamborghini unveiling new car ‘Lanzador’]
Stephan Winkelmann (interview): “We have here two cars on display. We have the Revuelto, which was launched earlier this year, which is the new V12. It’s a new position of the car. It’s the first plug-in hybrid car in the lineup of Lamborghini, so a very important car. And then right next to me is a concept car which is called Lanzador and has its Middle Eastern premiere here today and this is the first fully electric car which will come in 2028.”
