The opening of Disney and Pixar’s animated movie sequel Inside Out 2 was successful. On its first week in cinemas, the movie made $155 million (approximately ¥24 billion) in the U.S. and Canada. It also made $140 million (approximately ¥22 billion) in other countries. The movie’s global sales in its first week are considered a record-breaking success with a total of $295 million (approximately ¥47 billion).

Disney’s Tony Chambers was confident about the movie’s success. However, he was surprised by how much it exceeded Disney’s expectations. Chambers said that it’s becoming a bit of a phenomenon because of the good reviews. People of all ages love Inside Out 2.
