At the Creative Arts Emmys last September, the FX series “Shogun” took home an impressive 14 awards from a total of 25 nominations. This is the most Emmys won by one TV show in a single season. The show, set in old Japan, earned awards in different categories, including costumes, makeup, editing, and Best Guest Actor in a Drama for Néstor Carbonell.

As he accepted his award, Carbonell thanked the staff and marveled at how many of them were at the event. “You’re all here! You’re all nominated!” he said. “I love the team sport of this.” With the success of “Shogun” at the Creative Arts Emmys, many people expect more awards for the show at the Primetime Emmys, as “Shogun” is both loved by judges and the audience.

In other highlights, the comedy show “The Bear” won seven awards from its 23 nominations, including Best Guest Actress in a Comedy for Jamie Lee Curtis.
